First Out Indicator
Version 2 (Microprocessor)
Part # 0206
The
First Out Indicator (FOI) was designed to alert operators and/or
maintenance crews to the first contact (event) to drop out causing an
entire process line to shut down without warning.
Therefore, eliminating guesswork of which device contact opened
first initiating the shutdown of the equipment, this helps to reduce the
downtime of production equipment. A
process line is defined as equipment in operation using a control circuit
with a series of contacts and/or switches that cause the entire process to
perform an absolute shut down in the event one contact or switch opens,
indicating a failure or a safety violation.
First
Out Indicators are normally found in industrial applications such as
Burner Systems, Printing Presses, HVAC System, Furnaces, etc that utilize
this type configuration. FOI can be used for any application that has an
electrical circuit with a
number of contacts required for a permissive run. Other, non-industrial
uses might include display of first respondent in a game show and positive
lockout of the other contestants.

- 10 Isolated Inputs, to allow monitoring of contacts from different
power sources
- Power Supply can accept 115VAC or 230VAC
(switch-selectable)
- Remote or on-board RESET and PAST
FAULT SELECT
- Customer contacts, Form "C" rated 12
Amps 120 VAC, 12 Amps 24 VDC, are useful for sounding remote alarms,
stopping or starting related processes, etc.
- Easy to read 7 - Segment LED, 0.44" x
0.81" / 11.2mm x 20.6mm, to indicate the "First Out"
- 11 Replaceable Isolated Output Solid State
Relays for remote display of the "First Out" and fault
conditions (common ground) These are useful for interfacing with other
automation, remote LED or incandescent lamp displays
- Additional inputs may be added in groups of 10
- Unit will store and recall previous
"First Out"
- Microprocessor design eliminates false indications
due to electrical noise
- 200K input resistance (50-250V) and 18K
(5-50V) assures low circuit loading
- Quick-Connect terminal blocks for quick
removal of external connections
